The staff of PositivelyMichael is pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Thomas Mesereau during Conrad Murray’s involuntary manslaughter trial. Tom was Michael Jackson's lead defense attorney for the 2005 trial, and his vast knowledge of legal discourse and trial activities will be an amazing resource to help MJ fans and the greater community better understand the ins and outs of the coming legal proceedings. ...

We were honored to have the opportunity to interview Thomas Mesereau, the lead attorney of Michael Jackson’s defense team for the 2005 trial. In this interview, he discusses a wide variety of topics, including his interest in the role of the Freedom Riders in the Civil Rights Movement. He then shares what it was like to represent Michael in 2005. He also shares his thoughts on the coming legal proceedings for Conrad Murray and what fans can expect to hear in the courtroom. ...

    Celebrating Michael 2011

In the late 1980’s, a small town with approximately 1000 residents was plunged into the spotlight when the King of Pop decided to call it home! Los Olivos, CA was a welcome refuge for Michael for the many years that he spent at Neverland Ranch. According to the locals, Michael loved the quaint nature of the town and enjoyed spending time in the art galleries along the main street. We really wanted to get the feel of the area and know what Michael's life was like on a regular basis, so we ventured to California vineyard country to explore the scene.

    Celebrating Michael 2011

The Shrine Auditorium is known for many things. Countless award ceremonies are held there, including the Grammy Awards, the Academy Awards, the Emmys, the American Music Awards and more. Unfortunately, one of the Shrine’s shining moments in MJ history isn’t a very fond one. It was at the Shrine auditorium that a video shoot for a Pepsi commercial starring Michael went horribly, infamously wrong. It was a horrible incident. Though that event can overshadow the rest, the Shrine auditorium holds a vast Michael history. ...

    I am angry.

Last night, I went to the Prince concert for my birthday. The show was AMAZING—full of energy, fantastic singing and dancing, and a majorly sexy little man wearing sparkly high-heeled boots. I had a great time and screamed and danced my way through the entire show! I have known for my entire life that Prince is special, and that he is considered by many to be the closest constant peer that Michael had throughout his adult career. Whatever je ne sais quoi is necessary for superstardom, it is beyond clear to me that Prince has “it”.

...yet, despite witnessing this special show last night, today I am left with conflicted emotions and feel unexpected anger and emptiness. ...

From the Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait:

There are countless tributes to Michael Jackson, with new ones appearing almost every day. All are special in their own way and are meant to show love and respect for Michael, but there’s one that stands out amongst them all – this one. The Tribute Team works hard to keep the community safe and as full of love as it can be, while also seeking to keep members engaged in the community, both on-site and off-site, spreading love everywhere they go. The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait means that much more because it involves the fans in a way that no other has. As Co-founder Jerry Biederman said in his introduction to the website, “This is a Tribute for the fans, by the fans, and it is available to everyone from all over the world.” ...
