The end of 2011 means the coming of 2012. Depending on who you are, that may just mean the end of the world. If you’re me, it means the MJ/Freddie Mercury duets. For a long time, I’ve felt it was only appropriate to write a blog about Freddie and Michael, seeing as they’re two of the biggest influences of my life, but I never got the chance. I took some time tonight to really try to pay tribute to both, so hopefully I did it well.

When I was about 11 years old, I discovered Queen for the first time. I’d heard We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions on classic rock radio before, but I’d never actually heard Queen. ...

Madame Tussauds is fun on a normal day, but now the Madame Tussauds in Hollywood has a special offering for MJ fans.

Madame Tussauds is celebrating Michael this June with three wax figures new to California, although you may recognize them from other locations. Jermaine presented the figures on June 20, 2011 to an audience of fans and reporters while Michael’s music rang in the air. They are part of an exhibit called The Michael Jackson Experience and will be up through Labor Day. ...

The Staples center has a serious reputation when it comes to sports, but it also has a serious reputation when it comes to Michael Jackson.
Though the This Is It tour was going to take place in London, the rehearsals for the Tour and the wildly popular documentary of said rehearsals all took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

One of the coolest things about being Michael Jackson obsessed is that he is literally everywhere. His influence is felt everywhere you look. You’d have to try to not notice it. He is in every pair of aviators sported around on the street. He is in every step of Single Ladies. He’s the reason zombies are cool. He’s in every military jacket that graces the fashion world. And, above all, he is in almost every musician and performer there is. The musicians before him went into Michael, and the musicians after came from Michael. He is just in music. Even when it's not his own.

That being said, it doesn’t matter what you’re into. It doesn’t matter if you follow Maxwell around the country, put aside every paycheck to afford a Lady Gaga ticket, sport your glow sticks and rave through the night, or chill in the back of a café while a local singer-songwriter plays the soundtrack to your brunch. ...
